This pre-apprenticeship program is designed to prepare candidates for successful careers in cloud technologies, secure coding practices, and emerging IT roles. Spanning 14 weeks, the program combines personal development with intensive technical training to equip apprentices with the foundational knowledge and practical skills sought by leading employers in the industry.
Before the official start of the program, our team collaborates with the recruiting team to gather data on each candidate. We meet individually with each candidate to develop a personalized development plan tailored to their strengths, areas for growth, and career aspirations. This plan serves as a roadmap for their journey through the cohort, ensuring that each participant has a clear path to success
Cohort-based learning is a learning format where a group of learners moves through a course together. It is remarkably effective for adults because it provides a sense of familiarity and comfort. Cohort-based courses often have completion rates of more than 90%,
The first week is dedicated to breaking down the barriers that often accompany change. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where apprentices feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and relying on their peers. Topics covered this week:
· Team Development: Building trust and collaboration within the cohort.
· Effective Communication: Learning to ask the right questions to achieve desired results.
· Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Techniques for effective problem resolution and decision-making.
· Agility in Action: Introduction to Agile methodologies and how to be adaptive in dynamic environments.
The core of the program focuses on developing a solid foundation in the following areas:
· Cloud Technologies: Comprehensive training in AWS and Azure, enabling apprentices to navigate and manage cloud environments confidently.
· Software Engineering Prep: Develop a software engineering mindset and foundation through small, hands-on exercises.
· Security Practices: Emphasizing the importance of secure coding and best practices in development and IT support, with a focus on mitigating security risks.
· Support and Operations: Training for Tier One Support roles, equipping apprentices with the skills to manage and resolve basic cloud infrastructure and application issues.
· Low-Code Development: Introduction to low-code platforms, enabling rapid development and deployment of business applications.
· AI and Emerging Technologies: Providing foundational knowledge in AI prompt engineering, empowering apprentices to support and leverage AI tools in various business contexts.
In the final phase of the program, we align training with the specific tools and technologies that our employer sponsors are seeking. This may include but not limited to:
